We use of state-of-the-art medical technologies for superior surgical care for your pet!
Happy Tails Pet Hospital understands the stress and anxiety you and your pet feel if they need surgery. Our experienced, professional staff will treat your pet with the utmost care and compassion. Dr. Dan has extensive surgical experience and all of us will care for your pet as if he or she were our own.
It is important to us to provide individual, compassionate pre and post-surgical care for each patient. Therefore, we will communicate with you through every step of your pet’s surgical procedure to keep you fully informed, as well as address any questions or concerns you may have, including those regarding the surgical techniques used, pain management, and/or post-operative care.
General surgical procedures performed at Happy Tails Pet Hospital include:
- Spay, Neuter
- Soft tissue/general surgery (i.e., growth removal)
- Emergency surgery (wound repair, laceration repair, foreign object removal)
- Dental surgical procedures, such as tooth extraction
We recommend pre-surgical blood work so we can evaluate your pet’s kidney, liver and heart function prior to undergoing anesthesia. This will also help determine the anesthetic drugs and doses Dr. Dan will use on your loved one.
Anesthesia and Patient Monitoring
Anesthesia Monitoring. We use a state of the art machine for monitoring your pet’s electrocardiogram, blood pressure, respiration, heart rate activity, oxygen saturation and core body temperature during all surgical procedures.
Blood Pressure Monitoring. Accurate blood pressure monitoring allows us to assess your pet’s condition while under anesthesia. It will detect hypertension or hypotension and evaluate critically ill pets.
Your pet’s comfort is very important to us. Comprehensive pain management is utilized before, during and after your pet’s surgical procedure to keep them as comfortable as possible. We will also provide you with pain medication for your pet when he or she is ready to leave the hospital.
