Jack & Georgia were American Bulldogs they came from a shelter when we found them at 6 months old. they lived until 9 years old.

They gave my family joy that I cannot express in words.

They are missed so much. We will never forget them!

Zeus
Zeus
In Loving Memory
Zeus entered this world on October 26, 2005. He entered our home and hearts 7 weeks later. He was technically a Christmas gift to my baby brother, but in reality he was a gift to our whole family. Zeus was “imperfectly perfect.” His only imperfections were those beyond his control. He shedded like crazy and slobbered buckets – especially at the site of food! Otherwise, he truly was a perfect 200 pound gentle-giant.

My dad refers to Zeus as a “dog genius” and, to us, he really was. When Zeus was a young pup, my uncle observed us give him a tennis shoe as a play toy. Thinking Zeus would not be able to decipher a shoe given to him as a toy from one of our good shoes, my uncle remarked “you’re going to regret that!” But with Zeus their never were any regrets or moments we felt let down by him. We could leave items like shoes all throughout the house and he wouldn’t touch them. However, if we put a shoe or similar item in his toy box, he knew it was good for the taking and he’d have it torn to shreds in minutes. He was amazing like that!

Zeus loved to play tug-of-war and fetch balls. Of course with Zeus, we weren’t tossing tennis balls. It was Zeus-sized balls – Basketballs!

Many of our fondest memories of Zeus revolve around Notre Dame Football games. Zeus went to many games with our family. In fact, in the picture here, Zeus is wearing his custom made Notre Dame jacket complete with his name embroidered on it. Zeus received so much attention at the Notre Dame games and he always made us so proud with his great behavior as people flocked to him and made over him. It’s hard to say whether the team or Zeus was the bigger attraction when Zeus was on campus.

Zeus also traveled to downtown Chicago with us multiple times. He made himself good and cozy on the 22nd floor of a beautiful Chicago high-rise. He even walked the Magnificent Mile and visited Millennium Park with us. Again, he made us so proud because he was perfectly

Ciara left us on July 6th. Her favorite things to do were car rides, counter surfing and taking big bites from snow drifts. I will miss my shadow and my best friend. I loved giving her hugs and getting them in return. She had a way to melt her way into your heart. Love you so much my baby girl.

Ace
Ace
In Loving Memory
Ace was our beloved fat cat that we adopted in March 2012 when he was just 10 months old. We adopted him with his litter mate buddy, Jinx. They were the best of buds. Ace loved grooming Jinx and running around the house with Jinx and sleeping cuddled together. It took me forever to find a picture without the two of them together!

Ace was such a sweet, soft, cuddly boy that loved to have his belly rubbed. He would actually walk right in front of you flop down at your feet and roll over to expose to his belly to show you that he wanted his belly rubbed. And his purring was so loud, it sounded like a motor.

Some of my fondest memories of Ace are of him jumping on the bed while we were making it and running under the covers becoming just a lump darting here and there. When he finally would come out, he would flop over on the clean sheets expecting, you guessed it, belly rubs!

While sitting watching T.V., he would sit on my lap curled up in ball and would just purr away while I stroked his back and neck.

Three weeks ago, he became sick and stopped eating and became very lethargic. Unfortunately, we couldnt figure out what was making him so sick. We put him on meds, but he kept getting sicker. Finally after four days, he was in so much pain, and without knowing what the cause of his sickness was or why the meds werent making him any better, we had to make the tough decision to put him down. It was heartbreaking. He wasnt even 4 years old. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make. We loved him so much.

Dr. Jess and Jenny were very supportive through the entire process and I think were heart broken as much we were.

Ace will be missed tremendously, not only by us, but also by his feline brother, Jinx, canine brother, Shadow and canine sister Keira. He was loved so very much.

Goodbye sweet little boy.
